The Vibe
Joey's is a no-frills pizza spot with one genuinely clever idea — the Half & Half. Two flavours, one base, no compromise. In a city where most pizza places make you pick one topping and live with it, this concept alone has built a loyal crowd. Only two locations in all of Mumbai. Both are consistently packed.
The setup is casual — more delivery-counter than sit-down restaurant, though there's seating. The energy is young and fast. People come in, order quickly, and leave with pizza. The focus is completely on the food, which is exactly as it should be.
🗺️ How to Reach
Take the Western Line to Malad Station. Exit from the west side. Head towards Mindspace — the Chincholi Bunder Road area. Auto from the station takes about 10–15 minutes. Share the Maps pin with the driver.
From the Western Express Highway, take the Malad exit and head towards Mindspace IT Park. Joey's is in the Samruddhi Complex on Chincholi Bunder Road. Parking available in the complex.
🍽️ What to Eat
The reason everyone comes here. One pizza base split into two halves — each with a completely different topping combination. Order Chicken Tikka Makhani on one side, Paneer Schezwan on the other. The crust is consistent across both halves, the cheese pull is real, and the toppings are generous enough that you actually taste them. Genuinely smart.
Spiced chicken with a bold, slightly smoky topping combination that works well with the Joey's crust. One of the most-ordered single-flavour options on the menu — if you can't decide on Half & Half, this is the safe bet. The cheese-to-topping ratio is right.
Buttery, garlicky, loaded with chicken and cheese. A strong starter that holds up on its own. The bread is fresh and soft — clearly not the supermarket variety. Order one per table and you'll finish it before the pizza arrives.
📝 The Full Experience
Mumbai has no shortage of pizza places claiming to be the best. Most of them are overpriced, under-cheesed, and trying too hard with truffle oil on everything. Joey's doesn't do any of that.
I ordered the Half & Half — Chicken Tikka Makhani on one side, Meat Feast on the other. The base was properly thin in the middle, slightly chewy at the crust, and held up without going limp. The Makhani side had actual flavour depth, not just tomato paste with red food colouring. The Meat Feast side had enough topping that you had to eat it carefully.
We also got the Chicken Garlic Bread. It disappeared in under four minutes. Nobody spoke. That's the review.
Total for two — pizza plus garlic bread — came to around ₹580. For that quality and quantity in Mumbai, it's strong value.
One thing to note: the Malad outlet is the better one to visit if you're in the western suburbs. The Andheri location works if you're closer, but Malad has slightly more seating and easier parking.
💡 Pro Tips
- Always order the Half & Half — it's the signature and the reason to come here
- Pair contrasting flavours for maximum impact — one creamy Indian (Makhani, Tikka) and one bold (Meat Feast, Tornado)
- The Chicken Garlic Bread is non-negotiable as a starter
- Dine-in gives better crust quality — delivery softens it slightly
- Weekday lunch (12–2pm) is quieter than evenings — good if you want a table quickly
- Only 2 locations in Mumbai — Malad West and Andheri. No other branches.
